Escape Velocity: Nova is the latest in the EV series by Ambrosia Software. Part Maelstrom, part Galactic Empires, and part Galactic Traders, this game pretty much has everything you could think of... oh, and you get to blow shit up too!

I have been playing this series since my Mac days (it is multi-platform), I don't mean OSuX either, hell I don't even mean Power-Mac! I played Escape Velocity on an old LCII, which was one of the first models with it's own monitor, and 356 colours... I miss that old thing, lol.

Anyway, EVN has you flying around the universe in any number of spaceships designed for anything from mining, and hauling to battleships. You can trade with planets and go on various missions rescuing people, or assassinating them. Don't get too side tracked though, since the main mission is a curvy one! Depending on your allegiances, your mission could get quite different from when you started out!

I am loving this site! Basically, it is an online version of an emulator, but it only has about 50 or so games, most of which seem to be GBA. If you are a PokeGeek like myself, you will love this one. There are a load of Pokemon roms online including Trading Card. Also, if you register for free (takes about a minute) you can save your games. The save method is more like snapshots.

Flash Game - Virtual Villagers: The Lost Children

Virtual Villagers The Lost Children is one of my favorite games, but I cannot run it on this bloody computer!! Well, who cares, now I can play the flash game, and so can you! to make a long story short, you and a few others are trapped on an island, and you have to survive by any means possible. Learn to gather fruit, hunt fish, build stuff, make potions, and cut wood. This game, although it is real time, will keep you watching the screen endlessly. Trust me, play it, then download it. You will want to play them all!

Flash Game - Fish Tycoon

Fish Tycoon is a great aquarium sim, and has a full version available for download. It's worth the few bucks. You can play this game for hours on end, and is in real time, so you can close the game, even shut down the computer, and time will pass. you get to raise fish, sell them, have up to three tanks, and cross breed. There are many types of fish to choose from. You will love this game....now, if only Virtual Villagers had a flash version...

Flash Game - Shanghai Dynasty

Shanghai Dynasty is the best flash version of Mahjong I've played, and I believe, by now I've played them all. The sounds are great, but the pix on the tiles are irritating after a while, and all tend to blend together. It's got a game for kids, and adults.

Flash Game - Bubble Shooter

Bubble Shooter is a fantastic game. There are many that compete, but I have found this one to be the best. Rules? Shoot the bubble into two or more of the same colour. The point of the game is to clear the level, colour by colour. Warning: this game is severely addicting! I've gotten my mother playing this....alot.

Flash Game - Crab Volleyball

Crab Ball is so irritating, and so fun! The graphics are cute, and the game is difficult. The rules, are basic, just keep the volleyball from touching the ground on your side. You will love this game.

Flash Game - Laser

Laser is a simple puzzle game in the beginning. It gets quite a bit harder. Simply put, you have a lazer, and some optics, and you use the optics to direct the beam. you can use a mirror reflectant to change direction, or a prism to split it. This is not as easy as it sounds. I've never gotten to any other optics than the first two. I love this one.

Flash Game - Battalion Nemesis

Battalion Nemesis is a simple battle sim. So far, I have yet to beat it. There are a bunch of vehicles and patrols you can send out, all with different firing ranges, mobility and power. You get to 'capture the flag' with the footmen, and blow the hell out of things with trucks and planes, and zepplins. You really should check this one out.

Flash Game - Hex-Empire

Hex-Empire is the best Risk-Type flash game I've ever played. It's also the only one I've ever beaten to date. I love it. You get a number of maps to chose from, and there are many stratagies you can use. This one is definatly worth the risk.

Flash Game - Boomshine

Boomshine is an all time favorite of mine. It's got enough levels to be at it for hours. If you are extremely patient, you can get through it easily, otherwise, it will take quite a while. It's music is beautiful, but repetitive, you won't notice for quite a while though. Graphically, is simplistic, but lovely. All in all, I dare you not to be sucked in.

Flash Game - The Farmer

The Farmer is a simplistic flash game, but it's fun for a while. You get to raise chickens and plant vegitables. So far its the best flash farm sim I've seen...it's the only flash farm sim I've seen.

Dragon Court II

My favorite online game is Dragon Court II found at Freds Fiends. I've been playing for the last five years or so. I started playing as soon as it was open to beta testers. I had been playing the original Dragon Court for a year or so before hand, and was one of the first ten pplz to join DC II.

I cannot really compare DC II to anything as a whole. It has little pieces of lots of different games. If you like runescape, it's got crafting. You can assemble all sorts of weopons, and armor, as well as dissasemble them. You can cook things as well, and 'disasemble' that as well. There are nearly a thousand recipes you can choose from off the top of my head. You can even keep recipe scrolls from all the items you have taken apart.

If you liked the older RPGs, like Ultima, and Final Fantacy, you will love DC II. The battles play out in an arena type setting with one to ten enemies you can fight at once in a turn by turn setting. Again, there are hundreds of spells, and attacks you can choose from.

The DC II world is huge, and I have yet to see it all. You get to see more places as you level, and you can level yourself and your stats indefinatly. You can own your own home(s), where you can store weopons, armor, tools, foods, scrolls, and everything else in seperate rooms.

In all, You will love DC II, and I would love to see you all there. Look me up, my name is Skywize.

Waving farewell to Yoville!

Well, asta la bye bye! What a crock of shit Yoville was.The whole damned game was a long, drawn out advertisement. You can barely do anything without spending real money. I just tried to do a quick jump in. Since I am really not interested, evey day I would log in, go to "work" and log out.. Today, it locked my computer completely. I had full screen on, so I couldn't kill the tab because it was locked and the screen wouldn't rise. I couldn't kill the program for the same reason. Don't even ask if I could switch to something else.

On a side note, I was able to fix the situation with a proggie called Antifreeze. Even if your system locks up, it works....as long as it locks, not freezes completly. If you mouse won't move, your hung. Anyway, it basically pauses every other running program, and becomes something like a log in screeen, being the only working proggie. It's just a task manager, so you can kill off the program that's being offencive. It's saved me on numerous occations.
